Through the exchanges that began in 2022, the children's world has expanded greatly. The children, who were shy at first, have gradually begun to speak Japanese, and some of the children who often went on to work in factories after graduation have returned to Brazil to continue their studies at university.

Meanwhile, the number of children attending Santana Gakuen was approximately 80 in 2022, but is now less than 50, putting the school in a difficult financial situation.

As the project team met with the children and teachers on numerous occasions, they came to understand the charm of the experience, transcending cultural and language differences, and began to feel that they wanted to share with more people this opportunity to meet people of foreign origins, who they would not normally have much contact with. Thus, they decided to hold an art festival, albeit at their own expense.

We are constantly thinking and discussing what "contemporary art can do."
Why not meet the children and teachers who grow up here and think about the society in which we live together?

We are looking for individuals, organizations, and companies who support the purpose of the Knots Art Festival and can help with its operation.
Your cooperation will help us create a new cultural space that connects the local community with multicultural society!
